So I found out this AM that the May 2015 cohort filled. AP didn't deliver my transcript until today (to me) so their copy probably won't get there til Thursday. Result: no space for me.
I'm so bummed.

Who am I? Who are you? Well, here goes:
I am 30 years old
I have a 6 year old
I am married
I'm an RN with ICU and Psych experience
I currently work evening shift Monday thru Friday in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment facility for children & adolescents ages 6-22.
I teach the Virginia curriculum for Medication Aides.
Will I be successful in my pursuit? Who knows, but we'll get there together.
So by now most healthcare organizations are using the IOM's BSN recommendation, or they're flirting with Magnet and have to. This puts little old ADN RN me in a bind because IOM also recommends APRNs be DNP or PhD prepared, depending on your goal. So cue the phase out of any number of programs....
What is the point of this nonsense? Well I decided to put on my big girl panties and I applied to an RN-MSN program February 17, 2015. I'm slated to start April 15, 2015.
This is probably most scary because I'm sucking at adulthood. Other than having the best child on the planet, I have not met many socially accepted milestones most 30 year olds are now.
That's the purpose of this blog-- to chronicle my journey through school as a full time working mother.
